Holy Communion Christian Academy

Holy Communion Christian Academy is Church of the Holy Communion's parochial, not-for-profit preschool for children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten. HCCA offers an individualized and developmentally appropriate curriculum with highly qualified teachers. The school offers a low teacher - student ratio in large classrooms and an inviting playground in a 10,000 square foot facility located on the Church of the Holy Communion campus. Holy Communion Christian Academy is part of the Texas Rising Star Program, which allows for low-income families to attend a high calibre school with tuition assistance through the Texas Workforce Commision.

Curriculum

We offer programs and times designed to fit any busy parents' needs. Our goal for your child is to ensure they are challenged academically, socially and spiritually. Many of our alumni have gone on to attend prestigious private schools such as the Greenhill School, Trinity Christian Academy, Parish Episcopal School, and the Good Shepherd Episcopal School.

School Hours

Many of our families have dual working parents and need their children in school programs that offer longer school hours. Of course, we will always have our part-time pre-school option available to those families that want their children in fewer school hours. Our full-time hours are 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and our part-time hours are 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.

HCCA is one of the most outstanding preschools in this area - a very special place which is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Accreditation & Certification

Holy Communion Christian Academy is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Focused on improving the wellbeing of young children, NAEYC accredits early childhood programs according to health, safety and educational standards, and emphasizes the quality of educational and development services for children from birth through age 8. NAEYC standards are based on the latest research in early childhood education.

Holy Communion Christian Academy is also certified by Texas Rising Star, a quality-based child care rating system of child care providers participating in the Texas Workforce Commission's subsidized child care program. The Texas Rising Star program provides professional development resources to sustain and improve the quality of early childhood programs by specifying standards which include requirements for staff, curriculum, nutrition and caregiver-child interactions.
